As part of the Gwrhyd Mountain Stone Festival 2024 DSWA Wales will be holding a free taster weekend on the 7th – 8th September 2024 on the Gwrhyd Mountain. The course is free to those over 18 years of age (subject to certain restrictions). Participants will be shown how to take down an existing wall that is in disrepair. They will then be shown how to build a dry stone wall from foundations to copings.
To register for the course you must be:
– Physically able of lifting stone and working an 8 hour day
– Live in the county of Neath & Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire or Powys.
– Be able to attend the course on the 7th – 8th September 2024.
Participants will be given personal protective equipment and other walling goodies!
